OS X 10.5 – Leopard
Fun fact:

OS X Leopard’s release was delayed from late 2006 to October 2007 due to Apple’s focus on the first iPhone. Key engineering resources were shifted from the OS X team to ensure the iPhone's summer launch went smoothly. Since the iPhone’s operating system shared roots with OS X, significant overlap in resources was necessary. Although the delay disappointed some users, Leopard eventually launched with features like Time Machine, Spaces, and an improved Finder.
Aluminium

Between 2007 and 2014, Apple Macs experienced a transformative era that redefined portable computing and desktop design. In 2008, the MacBook Pro gained a sleek aluminium unibody design, combining strength, durability, and a streamlined aesthetic that set a new standard in laptop build quality.

The same year, Apple introduced the MacBook Air, then the thinnest laptop in the world, which revolutionised ultra-portable computing with its razor-thin profile and flash storage, foretelling a shift away from traditional hard drives.

In 2009, the iMac received a significant update, featuring an edge-to-edge glass display and a streamlined, seamless aluminium body that elevated its appeal as a stylish and powerful desktop machine. These innovations marked Apple’s continued focus on merging powerful hardware with minimalist design, paving the way for the modern Macs of today.
